The intricate scripts on cuneiform tablets fascinate scholars worldwide. This particular example is from the British Museum. In 2002 the University of Mosul in Iraq asked the museum if they could be given copies of some of the cuneiform tablets from the collection. The British Museum has been investigating a process to create exact replicas using the Arius3D three dimensional color scanner. The physical copies would then be sent to the University of Mosul for further study. The digital scans can also be shared with any interested individuals worldwide.
